frequently asked questions

Kendra is currently accepting new clients.

The first step to being a new client is to do a free 30-minute consultation with Kendra. This will allow you and Kendra to determine if you would be a good fit to work together.

A consultation is a chat to determine whether we would be a good fit to work together. Kendra will get to know you by asking questions about what is bringing you to therapy, and you get to ask her any questions you have about what your work together might look like. Kendra provides free 30-minute consultations either over the phone or through video conferencing.

A typical session lasts 50-minutes.

A 50-minute session with Kendra Davidson costs $160. Based upon a number of factors, including space, client financial means, and marginalization, there are sometimes sliding scale and reduced fee spots available.

Psychotherapists are covered under some, but not all, insurance plans. It is recommended that you check with your insurance before beginning therapy.

Yes! Kendra is registered with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist(independent practice). This grants her the privilege to perform the regulated act of psychotherapy to clients across Ontario.

During the first 1-2 sessions you will complete a structured interview with Kendra so you can get to know each other. Kendra will ask you questions about your symptoms, sources of stress in your life, family and social relationships, history, risk factors, and strength and resiliency factors. You’ll also spend some time at the start of your first session going over some policies, including privacy and confidentiality, late cancellation and missed session expectations, and the concerns and complaints process.
